CBM Adds Partner to the San Francisco Office
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 18, 2009 – Carroll, Burdick & McDonough, a preeminent California litigation and business law firm, adds litigator Eric J. Knapp to its San Francisco office as a partner. Knapp joins the firm following eight years with O'Melveny & Myers' Adversarial Practice Group.
"Carroll Burdick's leadership has and continues to be keenly focused on succession planning and professional development that will ensure our clients enjoy beneficial relationships with all of our attorneys and continued business success for years to come. Eric exhibits the qualities we seek out in our rising stars, and he joins a peer group of our next generation of partners that will be the firm's and the legal industry's leaders," said Vicki Freimann, the firm's managing partner.
Knapp has nearly 10 years of experience in complex civil litigation. At Carroll Burdick, he will concentrate on class action matters, particularly in the products liability area, where the firm has a strong, internationally focused group. "I'm excited to be a part of such a dynamic and growing firm. Carroll Burdick has proven itself capable of responding rapidly and effectively to the changing marketplace – both domestically and globally –all the while committed to a culture of collegiality and diversity," notes Knapp.
Prior to his legal career, Knapp worked in the biotechnology industry for five years. He earned his J.D., cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of New Mexico School of Law and his B.S. in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
