CBM Elevates Daniel Wu to Partner

Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP elevates Daniel H. Wu, an attorney in the firm's Los Angeles office, to partner.

"Daniel is an outstanding litigator, and he has proven to be a strong contributor to his clients' businesses and our firm. His expertise – particularly in complex commercial and intellectual property matters involving internationally based entities – makes him a solid addition to the partnership as more and more of our clients conduct their business in the global marketplace," said David Rice, managing partner.

Wu focuses on commercial, business, and intellectual property litigation, well as employment matters. Wu has prosecuted and defended complex breaches of contract, fraud, unfair business competition, and business tort claims. In his intellectual property practice, Wu represents clients in the prosecution and defense of patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, trade dress, and trade secret claims. He has also represented employers against claims of harassment and discrimination, wrongful termination and retaliation in state and federal court, as well as wage, meal and break period violations before administrative agencies.

Wu has presented at the Annual California Minority Counsel Program (2008) and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Annual Convention (2007). In 2007, he received the Stakeholder 100 Award. The Stakeholder 100 Awards were given to 100 of most gifted associates of color in law firms throughout the United States. They were conceived by a consortium of General Counsels and other high-level legal officers from more than 40 of the world's largest corporations.

Wu earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1998 and his B.A. in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1995.
