CBM Partner Presentation to San Francisco Employment Law Seminar
On May 28, 2008, CBM Partner Mary Wright gave a presentation on workplace harassment to human resources professionals and in-house counsel sponsored by Sterling Education Services. Ms. Wright discussed the continuing expansion of what constitutes workplace harassment under California and Federal case law. Particular focus was given to the recent California Supreme Court decision in Jones v. The Lodge at Torrey Pines Partnership. No. S151022 (2008) in which the Court ruled that supervisors cannot be held individually liable for the tort of workplace retaliation. If you would like a copy of the outline for Ms. Wright's presentation, drop her an e-mail at mwright@cbmlaw.com. This is Ms. Wright's fourth presentation for Sterling Services on subjects ranging from the interplay between federal and state leave of absence laws, violence in the workplace and wage and hour issues.
