  • Mr. Tittmann has also represented insurers in actions concerning bodily injuries and property damage allegedly resulting from exposure to asbestos and other toxic chemicals/products.

Bankruptcy Matters

  • He has litigated coverage-related issues in asbestos bankruptcies as part of a lead team in several high-profile matters, including Kaiser v. Certain Underwriters, et al., and In Re Babcock & Wilcox.

Environmental and Commercial Litigation

  • Mr. Tittmann has obtained or assisted in several successful appellate results, including Kvaerner v. Yellow Freight, 2005 WL 1060242 (9th Cir. May 5, 2005), O'Connor v. Boeing, 311 F.3d 1139 (9th Cir. 2002), and Vanstar Corp. v. AT&T Solutions, Inc., 2004 WL 1664790 (Cal. Ct. App. July 27, 2004).
  • He has experience in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including environmental, UCC contracts, intellectual property, and antitrust, and has represented defense contractor in a class action brought by an estimated one million residents in 200 square miles in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.
  • Mr. Tittmann assisted in a summary judgment brief that persuaded the court to dismiss roughly fifty personal injury and wrongful death claimants based on the statute of limitations and to decertify class claims, with an estimated one million members, alleging property damage and medical monitoring (see citations listed under Professional Distinctions section herein).
