Mr. Boyle focuses his practice on representing insurance carriers and brokers. He has represented insurance carriers and brokers in several hundred breach of contract, bad faith, and declaratory relief actions. He has defended insurance brokers against errors and omissions claims including alleged failures to timely bind coverage and to procure adequate policy limits.
He successfully represents insurance carriers’ interests in monitoring Cumis counsel, arbitrating fee disputes, and serving as Cumis counsel in professional liability actions pursuant to stipulations between insurers and insureds.
Mr. Boyle has also been retained as an expert witness to testify in coverage and attorneys' fees disputes.
Mr. Boyle has assisted clients with every phase of trial preparation and trial, including discovery, motions in limine, jury instruction, exhibit and expert preparation, witness questioning, argument of motions, and presentation of case to jury.
Litigation
Mr. Boyle is skilled in the representation of physicians and other types of professionals in claims including allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition and defamation. He has defended attorneys and law firms in legal malpractice and malicious prosecution claims.
Mr. Boyle has defended insurance brokers against claims of professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.
