Mr. Jasmine's practice focuses primarily on representing public employees and employee associations regarding a wide range of labor and employment issues, including internal investigations, disciplinary and termination proceedings, grievances, arbitrations, civil litigation and appellate work, collective bargaining, and actions before the California State Personnel Board, the California Public Employment Relations Board and the National Labor Relations Board.
He has also had extensive experience advising and successfully litigating matters involving the California Public Records Act.
Mr. Jasmine has prepared briefs on behalf of clients to the California Supreme Court, and the California Court of Appeal.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Mr. Jasmine has successfully resolved numerous construction defect, commercial litigation, and bad faith actions through mediation and arbitration
He is also active as an arbitrator in the mandatory fee arbitration programs of both the Sacramento County Bar and State Bar of California.
Presentations and Publications
Contributing author to the CBM publication The Labor Beat, the firm's quarterly publication highlighting topics germane to public sector labor employees.
Presented or co-presented seminars and webinars on issues such as the State Personnel Board disciplinary appeal process and labor law issues that traditional employment attorneys must consider in their practice.
Co-presented "Labor Law for Employment Lawyers" – a June 2011 MCLE webinar through the State Bar of California.
