Ms. Chew is an experienced litigation lawyer having handled a number of commercial litigation and shareholder dispute cases, as well as a wide spectrum of civil litigation and insolvency matters.

Financial Institution Practice

Ms. Chew has considerable experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters. On the non-contentious front, she regularly advises clients on documentation and various commercial agreements in different sectors, such as direct sales companies, liquidators, receivers, and managers of insolvency companies.

On the contentious side of her practice, Ms. Chew appears in courts of law and before arbitral tribunals. In 2008, Ms. Chew acted in a high profile minority shareholder's action where complex issues of law and fact arose. Her experience includes acting against a company and its director for, among other things, breach of trust. As part of the action against the defendants, freezing and search orders were successful obtained and executed.
