Ms. Beldiman has extensive experience with IP related transactions, trademark and international IP strategy:

  • Ms. Beldiman has structured complex IP transfer transactions as part of corporate transactions, both domestic and cross-border.
  • She has provided strategic advice, structured, drafted and negotiated numerous agreements in the IT and life sciences/chemical areas, including all forms of licensing, development, distribution, systems integration agreements.
  • She has provided counsel on corporate IP management and monetization strategies (licensing-in/licensing-out programs and guidelines).
  • Ms. Beldiman has structured brand protection programs; provided strategic advice on mark selection, clearance, monitoring; conducted trademark prosecution in front of the Patent and Trademark office and Trademark Trial Appeal Board, from application through registration and handled domain name protection.
  • She has developed corporate trade secret protection programs; confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Ms. Beldiman has also provided general strategic advice on patenting matters; supervision of patent prosecution counsel.
  • She has conducted IP inventories and audits; due diligence and  handled enforcement of IP rights.
  • Ms. Beldiman has taught and continues to teach courses in IP licensing transactions, international and comparative intellectual property, trademark and unfair competition, intellectual property and human rights at UC Hastings (San Francisco, USA), Santa Clara University Law School (Santa Clara, USA), Bucerius Law School (Hamburg, Germany), the University of Strasbourg (CEIPI) (France), Humboldt University (Berlin Germany).
