Profile
Dr. Imberg is the Chair of CBM's German Practice Group and Products Liability Practice Group. He is licensed to practice in both the United States (California) and Germany. He is a native German and has been practicing in the U.S. since 1996. Prior to joining CBM in 1998, Dr. Imberg practiced in Germany where he represented clients in general civil and commercial litigation matters. Since then, he has focused his practice on U.S. commercial, products liability and intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of German and other European manufacturers in U.S. courts.
Litigation
Dr. Imberg represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States (most recently California, New York, Nevada, Louisiana, Florida, and Missouri). He has tried major U.S. cases to verdict and, where appropriate, resolved matters through the means of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
Litigation Coordination/Risk Management
Dr. Imberg serves as national coordinating counsel for numerous German companies including one of Germany's premier auto manufacturers and a leading German plumbing system manufacturer. He counsels clients in the area of product safety, preventative product liability, and risk management.
Corporate Transactions
In the area of corporate and commercial law, Dr. Imberg represents, primarily, European renewable energy companies in establishing subsidiaries and conducting business operations in the U.S. He also assists his clients in complex commercial transactions and contract negotiations.
